Dr. Parsons

Mark A. Parsons, DDSDr. Mark A. Parsons
Dr. Parsons grew up in Plano, Texas and attended Baylor University for his BS degree, graduating in 1983. He then pursued his doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) at the University of Texas Health Science Center and earned his degree in 1987. Shortly after, he began his private practice, Whitehouse Family Dentistry, and he’s been practicing comprehensive general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry from this location ever since.

Dr. Parsons values continuing education and is continually seeking new ways to expand his skills. He follows the latest innovations in dental technology, so he can provide more precise and comfortable care to our patients. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Society, the East Texas Dental Society, and the Smith County Dental Society.

For over 20 years, Dr. Parsons has been practicing dentistry in Whitehouse, and he’s worked hard to make an impact on the local community. Dr. Parsons was on the board of the Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce for 20 years, holding the President's office for two terms, and he’s served as the treasurer for numerous terms. He was also on the Whitehouse Community Development Board, the Library Board, and led the efforts for the WISD bond election that resulted in the building of the current Whitehouse High School facilities. Dr. Parsons was president of the Whitehouse Band Boosters for three years and is still active in his efforts to support the Whitehouse High School Band.

Dr. Parsons and his wife, Sharon, have been married since 1983, and they have two children, Katelyn and Brian. Katelyn is pursuing a nursing degree from the University of Texas Tyler, and Brian attends Texas A&M University. Sharon has worked on the Yesteryear committee and works side by side with Dr. Parsons in the Whitehouse Band Boosters. Dr. Parsons and his family currently attend Green Acres Baptist Church, where he and Sharon sing in the choir and on a praise team. Aside from his work, Dr. Parsons enjoys time spent with his family, saltwater aquariums, RV camping, hunting, and Dallas Stars hockey.
